New Features

Contract Clause Library

Contract clauses can now be managed from a dedicated library rather than only within individual contracts.

Users can search, create, edit, delete, copy, and review complete clause text from one location, making commonly used commercial terms easier to maintain and reuse.

Expanded Tariff & Rate Management

Tariff workflows moved closer to end-to-end rate management.

Teams can now import rates onto existing contracts, collect required escalation inputs, preview updated rates, and submit final changes after review. Rate imports also better support pricing tied to barge capacity.

Contract rate management was further improved with a more scalable rate grid, a refreshed towing tariff experience, and configurable contract forms that can show or hide sections based on company preferences.

Purchase & Sale Freight Contracts

Voyages can now carry both a purchase and a sale freight contract, with each available directly from the voyage details header.

Freight contracts also gained support for purchase-versus-sale designation, independent demurrage escalation formulas, and simpler weekly placement calendars.

Fleet Events

The Fleet Events workspace gives operations teams a centralized way to review and manage reported fleet activity.

Users can filter and page through events, expand records for additional detail, and—when authorized—move events to another eligible voyage or delete incorrect events.

Fleet Management itself also received updated navigation and a cleaner landing experience to make asset activity easier to access.

Billable Voyage Events

Authorized users can now manage billable voyage events from creation through correction.

Billable events can be added, edited, deleted, and connected to reported voyage activity, giving teams greater control over miscellaneous costs that ultimately flow into pro-forma and billing workflows.

Integration Monitoring & Error Management

Integration issues are now easier to identify and resolve.

Teams can review integration history at the voyage level, browse company-wide errors, see plain-language explanations of what went wrong and what action may be required, and resend failed updates.

Integration views also surface how many voyages require attention while keeping sensitive credentials hidden.

Expanded Cargo Units

Cargo planning and billing now support Long Tons and Bushels alongside Short Tons, with conversions carried consistently through contracts, planning, Deck Log, and billing workflows.

Planning & Voyage Operations

More Connected Shipment Planning

Shipment requests are now more closely connected to the contracts and voyages that support them.

Supply-contract information can populate shipment requests automatically, and requests can be grouped by key locations. Teams can also bulk-plan shipments from supply contracts rather than creating each order individually.

Barge placement can be requested directly against freight contracts and shipment signals, creating the placeholder voyages needed to track future commitments.

Inbound placement requests can also be matched to existing trips—including contract placeholder voyages—instead of creating duplicate voyages.

Smarter Equipment Recommendations

Equipment recommendations now account for more of the real-world factors that determine whether an asset is actually a good fit.

Improvements include better consideration of reposition timing, current barge location, expected availability, load timing, and applicable long-term contract rates. Stale outcharter flags no longer incorrectly hide available barges, and planners can request spot equipment when standard recommendations are unavailable or too late.

Planning search was also improved to better handle near matches and stale asset or vessel results.

More Voyage Actions from the Trip Dashboard

Operations teams can now complete more everyday voyage actions directly from the Trip Dashboard.

New capabilities include:

  • Setting voyage origins and destinations
  • Reconsigning voyages
  • Assigning sales and supply contracts
  • Releasing individual loaded barges
  • Releasing empty barges
  • Assigning destinations and supply contracts during release
  • Sending optional carrier notices for releases and placement requests
  • Logging voyage events directly from the dashboard

These enhancements reduce the need to move between workflows during day-to-day voyage execution.

More Flexible Freight Planning

Freight planning now supports scenarios where every voyage detail may not yet be known.

Companies can define regions and use them as load or discharge areas on tariffs. Spot contracts can be edited and marked reusable, while contract settings can simplify which fields users see during setup.

Nominated vessels can also be recorded on supply contracts and used during placement planning, with planning grids able to group information by vessel.

Faster Tow & Capacity Planning

Tow planning now requires less repetitive setup. Selecting a tow can copy draft, temperature, product, and quantity information across its barges.

Capacity plans can also be adjusted without rebuilding the entire plan. Users can reallocate volume across remaining import plans or modify export plans as conditions change.

Operational Visibility & Reporting

Richer Deck Log Context

Deck Log now surfaces more of the information crews and operations teams need during daily work.

Customer, vendor, terminal, product, and asset notes can be displayed where relevant, while order and voyage selection logic was improved to reduce events being recorded against the wrong trip.

Event forms also better identify the correct voyage leg based on location and timing, company-specific procedures can replace generic workflows, and events near midnight display on the appropriate local working date.

Better Voyage & Cargo Auditability

Shipment requests now highlight material changes, and change logs are available from cargo planning and contract workflows.

Voyage notes can also be edited and deleted, giving teams more control over the operational record while preserving better visibility into meaningful cargo and contract changes.

Expanded Voyage Reporting

Voyage reporting gained additional operational detail, including:

      • More complete voyage event timelines
      • Water-level history
      • Hose-time reporting
      • Fleeting-time reporting
      • Clearer transit-time distributions

These enhancements provide more context for understanding voyage performance and operational timing.

Improved Asset & Vessel Tracking

Asset tracking gained a reusable integration framework that supports additional GPS providers.

Location processing was also refined so stale voyage assignments do not overwrite more current asset positions, and vessels can be searched using IMO or MMSI without hiding relevant voyages.

Costing, Billing & Invoice Improvements

More Accurate Voyage Planning & Pricing

Voyage planning now provides clearer cost context when comparing contract and carrier options, including underlying rates and additional cost drivers.

Percent-of-tariff freight rates now display as actual dollar values in the Trip Dashboard and contract editor, with billed rates staying aligned when tariff lanes or load ports change.

Voyage cost estimates were also refined so fuel, charter, vendor, idle-time, and stop-related charges remain more consistent between planning and billing.

Invoice Corrections & Credits

Invoice correction workflows became more complete over July and August.

Invoice reissuing is now generally available, voided invoices can retain a visible reason, and partial credits allow users to enter a specific credit amount for short pays and see amounts already credited.

Additional safeguards prevent already-credited charges from being credited again and prevent invoices still awaiting verification from being allocated.

Improved Invoice Review

Several enhancements make invoice review easier and provide more supporting context.

Updates include:

  • Service times on freight invoices
  • Contract files attached as invoice evidence
  • Voyage-level views of outbound invoices
  • Charge filtering during invoice creation
  • Refreshed estimates before invoices are created
  • Easier navigation between original and credit invoices
  • Better auto-matching of inbound invoice lines to voyages
  • Read-only invoice visibility from asset pages

Better Fuel & Cost Accuracy

Fuel purchases can now auto-match against already allocated invoices, while fuel history and snapshots were refined to better reflect actual vessel activity.

Additional improvements addressed excise tax precision, same-day and next-day fuel purchase matching, long pause/resume periods, and other edge cases that could affect voyage cost accuracy.

Bug Fixes & Reliability Upgrades

Round-Trip & Sequential Voyage Automation

An optional round-trip workflow can now recognize when a carrier update completes an outbound voyage, close that leg, and start the corresponding return voyage automatically.

Sequential voyage handling was also improved so prior and subsequent legs remain better synchronized when origins, interchange stops, or voyage events change.

Stronger Email & Signal Processing

Inbound operational communications became more reliable throughout July and August.

Improvements include better placeholder-voyage creation, more consistent lock-delay parsing, fewer split-barge reference collisions, improved extraction visibility during shipment request review, and more reliable cleanup when inbound messages are reprocessed.

Inbound emails are also protected from being processed more than once.

Day-to-Day Platform Reliability

A broad set of fixes improved everyday system performance and usability, including:

  • Faster loading for large voyage lists and ready-trip dashboards
  • Better error handling when voyage dashboards encounter unexpected issues
  • More reliable invoice PDF rendering
  • Improved terminal geofence tools
  • Better route and multi-stop handling
  • More accurate barge map positions and stale-location indicators
  • Improved carrier ETA and voyage status handling
  • Stronger stale-browser recovery following deployments
  • Expanded production error monitoring and diagnostics

These changes reduce friction across frequently used workflows while strengthening overall platform stability.
